Yes. The macOS driver will appear on the Drivers & updates tab. Until then, contact support for the installer.
With the NP2900W, a Mac prints over WiFi with nothing to install: the printer simply appears in the printer list.
The printer uses 2.4 GHz WiFi only. To switch to another WiFi, hold the Paper key for 8 seconds, release, and start again. Illustrated steps are in chapter 4 of the NP2900W user guide and step 5 of the quick start guide, on the User guides tab.
Your phone and the printer just need to be on the same WiFi. No app is needed.
No office WiFi? Connect your phone straight to the printer’s NP2900W-XXXX network (password 1234567890) and print the same way. Printing over WiFi supports A4, A5 and Letter.
Easiest: install MTC NP2900 Update on Windows, plug the printer in, and the app recognises it and updates in one tap.
Manually: hold the PAPER key while powering on and the printer shows up as a USB drive on your computer. Copy the printer software file (from the Drivers & updates tab) onto that drive; the printer does the rest and restarts.
Nothing happens. The printer checks every file before using it: a wrong or damaged file is refused. Even if the power cuts out mid-way, the printer keeps running its previous software. Just run the update again.
To avoid jams: use dry, flat 70–80 g/m² paper and do not fill the tray above the mark.
Yes. The NP2900 cartridge is refillable and not locked: refill it at a shop or fit a compatible cartridge and the printer carries on as normal.
